Friends Don’t Let Friends Fail Math

I ran into an hold highschool friend on the train the other day. We were discussing a mutual friend who I had caught up with the week before, and how much his life had changed recently.

“He’s come 180 degrees from when we last knew him,” I said, always keen to work mathematics into the conversation somehow.

She looks at me and pauses… “360 degrees even,” in an ‘I’m trying not to make retard faces at you’ voice.

It was my turn to pause. Was being correct more important than being nice? Is this is the reason people don’t invite me to parties more than once?

“Uh, that would kind of imply that you were back where you started.”
